Of course the pokemon anime will keep going on. The anime is their main advertisement to get small children hooked up on Pokemon to sell their merchandise which is what brings them most of their money. They would never stop it. And they won't change a formula that has worked for so many years much. I think they are just strechting things out until the new games comes out. I would have liked it if they put all this recap, filler and break crap after the tournament and not within. They don't even have the excuse of using the time to make the animation better, because clearly they did not use that time to make the animation better.

I mean, the reason here is that OLM is short-staffed.

Probably, I mean if Ash beats Leon and becomes the strongest Pokemon trainer, they'd have to make someone else the protagonist to continue the Pokemon anime

Looks like Pokémon company favors Ash x Damn more considering she actually came for such world changing event in person.
Not to mention, she actually had more screen time, than any other from past pokegirls.

Also Dawn appeared in Pokemon Journeys more than Serena, Mallow, Lana, Iris and Lillie

Cynthia has been a very popular Champion from the fans so they gave her some good stuff in this anime

So Leon's team in the finals is Charizard, Inteleon, Cinderace, Rillaboom, Dragapult and Mr. Rime
That Mr. Rime might be terrifying

Alright, almost positive his Cinderace has "Libero(Protean clone)" and Court Change for moves
and Inteleon has Sniper. Rillaboom already proved he doesn't have Grassy Surge.

Maybe he has an extra Rillaboom that has Grassy Surge :P

I’m a little concerned. There have been too many recaps this season. Is something wrong? Is the anime director sick or something? Shortage of workers? Yes, I’m disappointed by a recap episode but I’m not mad since this is really unusual… something must be wrong. There’s never been this many breaks and fillers before
